First white-tail

This morning I shot My first white-tail (we moved to ky this summer, no white-tail in Colorado) and I cleaned it out with my BK-16. No pictures but I thought ya'll would like to know, had to tell someone.

I know lots of guys that would rather harvest a doe than a trophy buck. There's not as much meat but it tends to be sweeter. Regardless the important thing is to be out there, be safe, and be respectful and thankful of nature's bounty

The bk16 did awesome on the white-tail & ky is my favorite state I have been to!

No whitetails in Colorado, but they do have mulies.

yes lol, but CO hunting laws you can't hunt big game under 12 I turned 12 last year and didn't have the time to go hunting elk(the mulies were NESTY so this is my first deer!

I am from KY and started hunting when I was 12, but it was all upland game. My dad didn't hunt big game, and we lived in northern KY.

congrats - and I agree with James, does taste a LOT better.
Bucks are fine if you have a need for the antlers and don't mind grinding it all up for jerky, breakfast sausage, and summer sausage. (which is mighty fine, too!)
