First white-tail

Congratulations on a safe and successful hunt! Looks like your parents are raising a fine young man, good to see in this day and age. Thanks for sharing!

Way to go! If you ever make it out to Oregon, we'll have to plan a trip hunting east of the Cascades--the deer be plentiful there....

Thank you, thank you vary much for the compliments and I will pass the thanks to my mother & father

It is my dearest ambition to go to oregon (for the gathering)!

Worked for me.

I know lots of guys that would rather harvest a doe than a trophy buck. There's not as much meat but it tends to be sweeter. Regardless the important thing is to be out there, be safe, and be respectful and thankful of nature's bounty :)

That's a very nice deer.

I've done the trophy buck thing and I suppose everyone should do it once, but does taste much better.

Congratulations. That's a big deal. And I'm in the camp who'd rather take a doe than a buck any day. Better eating!

Congratulations on the fat doe. Looks like she is going to be some good eating.

Congrats MM! The first deer is a heck of a feeling, for sure. That'll cut up into some nice steaks and roasts, for sure.

I've been "hunting" the last couple of years. Saw a couple, but the herd is way down where my friend's cabin is at. I've got plans to hunt a few locations the week of Thanksgiving and WILL fill that freezer this year. The last tenderloin is sitting in there and I'm afraid to eat it before I get more!

Cool. I used to shoot Whitetail and Mulies. Mulies pogo stick when they run, boing, boing. Funny as hell when you first see it. Give a sharp whistle and sometimes they will stop to look. (BANG!) I haven't shot a deer now for twenty years.

i'm going to need to see a hunting license, proof of age, and state law on hunter age :>

otherwise, i expect 50 lbs of tasty deer jerky as a bribe at the next gathering ;) :D :D :D

Good job!! I think its great to see the younger generation getting into hunting. I just wish there were more getting into it. Hopefully this will be the first of a lot more to come!! Just remember that you might not always harvest something, but the time spent outdoors with family and friends will always make up for it. Sometimes(or even most of the time) the hunt isn't about the kill.
