First XM, and a question.

What a great knife Robert! I have a flipper but seldom use it, most always open it with my thumb. I did let a non-flipper bead blast lock side and spanto grind go and often wish I had keep it for my EDC. Love to see the character the bead blast gets. Welcome look forward to seeing pictures of you current knife and the next one you will get, and we all know you will add another on to the family.

Maybe once we move, hopefully out of SoCal and to more rural Oregon I will have an excuse for a 24. :)

As soon as possible. As of now, it looks like after May, as that's when I'm set to graduate. When is a guess at this point. It's a bit early to start looking for work, I think. So, basically May + however long employment takes.

Portland is a wonderful city to live close to. Of course, Vancouver, WA is conveniently close and there's no state income tax in WA so you get that and then come over to Oregon for fun and shopping where we have no sales tax.... You don't have to go far from Portland to find "rural".

Portlandreign and I have our own little mini-blade group here in Portland. Would love to expand it.

We're likely going towards the Medford area.

That's a great area as well. Rolling hills, easy access to the mountains and wilderness. Long way from Portland but also close to Ashland which is another great city....

I'll have to hit you up with questions when we make it. Or never been even close to Oregon before. :)

Well, not welcome yet. Hopefully in a few months. :) We are looking at Grants Pass, too.

Switched back to tip down! Was carrying tip up, and it opened a bit and bit me (initiation complete!). Back we go, heh.

Still, love this knife! ;)

Depends on the pocket. Right side carry, not possible. Tip Up and the blade is to the rear and restrained by the back of your pocket (my preferred).
Left side pocket - different story I suppose, I might carry ANY knife Tip Down for avoidance of a "surprise" which in my case would be a certainty (3 weeks and counting recovery from last "incision")
Whatever works. Keep your fingers in tact, they come in handy during Cold and Flu season especially.

True, but I work at a university, so EDC is out. Truth e told, 3 is a good size for me. I could see testing 3.5 though.

3.5 is a good all-around size. Can't go wrong there. I work in manufacturing so I tend to utilize the bigger blade more frequently than the 3.5.

3" is the perfect EDC for me as well. More than enough blade for my daily urban activities!

I find fingers useful year round. :D

Hope the finger's healing up good. I gave a Senenza to a friend of mine's husband a couple of weeks ago. She was using it, and didn't have a good grip on it. Sure enough, it got her good. :(

Finger is all healed. Minor slice. ;)

And back to tip up carry heh.
