Absolutely beautiful. I love it. I guess a bit more then posted base $525 for that heh?

If that was a 4 plus blade it would be on my top list.

I am looking for something similar with 4-5 inch blade.

Congratulations that is a lifetime keeper!!

Wow! beautiful and SHARP knife! I think that's the sharpest I've ever seen! Awesome work Trisak, and congrats on your purchase JTR.

I saw a recent thread over on Spyderco forums (I think) from Trisak with what I assume is a Spyderco version of this, or a similar design. That one is gorgeous too!

I think a good rule of thumb is to look at his base price mentioned on his site. Then any change, add 40 bucks. So two pieces of handle material, figure 80 instead of 40, then grooves or what not, then if you use an exotic material..etc. etc. etc.

Regardless of what it adds up to, it is worth it. I sold mine on eBay recently and already put in an order for a new one. A Yuna knife is a must have.

+1 That's a good way to do it.

I have decided to get a Yuna also. I an trying to decide between the Hard and the QI. Do you have an idea of what the S type package costs?

Thank God my order is due in in only 30 days! I think Yun is going to be getting backed up from the looks of things! Mine will be a Mini Hard drop point small choil with PURE ZDP blade. Should be interesting. All I can say is Yun is a pleasure to deal with. How nice it will be to have a hand crafted piece of art that will be put to work and become a family heirloom. Hurry Yun!

Anyone used theirs yet? Mine is giving me some pretty strange results. I was trimming a couple large bags of onions and afterwards it again feels like the edge rolled to one side. Now I realize that sometimes what I think is a rolled edge or burr is in fact a "toothy" edge, but I don't recall anyone ever comparing ZDP to D2. In fact, some say ZDP keeps a razor edge longer than most steels.

So I'm not sure if mine is defective, if it's working the way it's meant to, or if my cutting task is actually abusive to the edge, as there might be leftover dirt on the roots of the onion.

That doesn't sound good. I haven't had anything close to that happen to my edge during use. I've hit my granite countertop with the edge and nicked copper wire while stripping it and the worst that happened was a flat spot in the edge that cleaned up with stropping.

Thing is, my Miyabi Chef's Knife in ZDP-189 with Rc66 also seemed to behave the same way after I cut up a pineapple with it. Given that my Dozier Buffalo River Hunter hasn't been sharpened in about a year and feels like it has a burr on both sides of the edge(best way I can describe it) yet still keeps cutting like a machine. So I'm not entirely sure if I'm looking at a damaged edge or if it's just that "aggressive" edge from all the Chromium carbides.

It's just bugging the hell out of me since I thought that A) it would take longer than 1 day of light to medium use to develop and B) I thought it would develop more evenly over the entire edge instead of just one spot.
