I just purchased my first ZT yesterday. I spent more on a knife than I ever thought I would, but wow it does feel perfect in my hand and looks to be a solid knife. From what I read on various Internet sites, ZT knives are worth the money. I am curious to hear from folks who actually carry and use ZT brand knives everyday. Thanks!

While I don't carry it everyday, I have a 0770 cf that I carry for river fishing. Haven't found a knife that is more user friendly and just a straight up pleasure to use while fishing from the banks of montana trout streams. Great quality, quick one handed action, light carry, and sharp enough to clean a fish in less than 30 seconds if needed. Love the blade shape for trimming out the gills.

I don't carry one everyday, but I have the whole 056x family and they're all beautiful/wonderful knives. An 0562 and a 0770 are in my rotation of carry knives and make their way in my pocket pretty regularly.

ZT makes knives with the materials and quality previously only available in the $500+ range. They're more than worth the money - we're pretty spoiled as consumers with how drastically the market has broadened and improved in just the last few years.

The 0562CF has a street price roughly around what the 0560/0561/0300/0301 had when they were the hot new things, but with improvements across the board. Steel lockbar insert, M390 particle metallurgy steel, ultra-smooth bearing pivot, carbon fiber scales, deep carry clip, high flat grind for incredible cutting performance...

If I wasn't such a cheapass, I would totally carry one. I'm pretty content with what I have currently, but I have a lot of respect for ZT and have carried and enjoyed many of their knives in the past (0700, 0200, 0560, 0561, 0560BW, 0560CBCF, 0600, 0550, 0550BLK, 0452CF, 0620/CF, 0562/CF, 0392, 0392BW, Kershaw Ruby [ZT built])

Some of those didn't see much, or any, carry time (0452CF, 0392/BW, Kershaw Ruby), but handling them was an experience by itself. The Ruby is a damned work of art.

I'm also a ZT fan, particularly now that they produce knives in sizes I'm willing to EDC (i.e., 0770CF, 0450). And I've maintained that the 0562CF was the real Overall Knife of the Year for 2015 ever since it was released. So you got a good one, that's for sure! :)

Post up some pics!

I don't carry a ZT everyday, I have far too many other quality knives that I rotate. That said I often will carry a ZT (0562cf, 0560, 0560b, 550, 301, 200). They make a fine product that can handle most any cutting task.

I own just about every model ZT has put out. My ZT0630 seems to get the predominance of my pocket time. I use it for stuff that would make a lot of knife people cringe. The other night I just happened to need it for some drywall work. It did superb and not even a nick in the blade. They are definitely worth the money.

Congrats on an awesome knife! My 0562cf continues to kick my other favourites out my pocket a year after aquiring it. If you are looking for one more ZT and don't mind a little weight, have a look at the 0630. The more I use it the more I appreciate its ergonomics. ZT is on fire at the moment!

Welcome to the club!
You picked a fantastic ZT model to get started with

*edit: I mixed up 562CF with 452CF

Thanks for all the replies! I look forward to carry and using this knife as I think it will take a permanent place in my pocket. I will try to post some pictures later.

Congrats on the new ZT! The 0562CF is one of my favorite knives. I'm sure it will serve you well.

I've got the 0562 with G10, It is an amazing knife, I have been thinking about getting a Ti scale for it.

The ZT0562 is an awesome knife. Flipps like crazy and very well build. Doesn't need to hide from a Hinderer. You gotta keep it in good company.

I have cf version and it's a well-built knife with smooth flipper action. I think it's great for edc.
If you like something a bit larger/heavier, you want to try an 0630 as your next ZT purchase.

Nice choice for your first ZT!

I've been carrying these two for almost a year now:
