Well I've got a trio of firsts here. First post here. I've been looking around the site for a few few days and at Becker knives for a while and finally bought my first one today(of many I'm sure), BK2 Companion. Oh and lastly my first 1911-A1. Doesn't really belong here but I picked them both up at a gun show today. So here they are.

Welcome to BFC.
I've been amazed at how many posts the Becker forum has drawn lately.

Thanks for sharing the pics. Stick around and post some more after you've used that BK2.

It's an action packed adventure. And most importantly, the veterans are some good old boys willing to share their knowledge about a truly great line of American knives. And it's even got Ethan Becker. And if you get kicked in the nuts every once in a while, it's just weakness leaving the body.

When you have all that good stuff, you're going to get pretty busy.

Hey Texas....

You seem to have exceptionally good taste in iron.......I do hope you enjoy both your new acquisitions......

Please come back often and post some "user" pics and commentary..........

Welcome !!!!!.......

All Best....

Thanks for the marketing! :D
Actually, I meant to type "first posts" (as in people choosing to put up Post #1 here), but number of posts in general works too, nut kicking notwithstanding.
Lots more action now in just the short time I've been checking in regularly.

All the B.S. of business aside, at the end of the day, consumers like a good
product. If it's a good product at a reasonable price, all the better.
Any time you can be a quality, low cost provider in any industry, you'll do well. Beckers have hit the sweet spot. JMHO.

But a little sex never hurts :D

not only does Becker have a good product at a good price point. there are so so many options for modifications that can be done to them.

I hate rice burners, but kinda reminds me of the honda civic in the late 90s early 00s. cheap car off the lot but add your bolt ons and they can scream, or buzz depending on the muffler...

keep up the good work Ethan

Welcome to the Becker forum and Bladeforums!!!! Glad you're here.

Nice pics. The 45 is my handle is because of my love for 1911's. They ARE my handgun of choice. Same as Beckers ARE my knife choice. I been tuning and workin on 1911's for about 10yrs now, and I am pretty sure JMB got it right the first time with his creation.

Just so your pics don't feel lonely, here Ebony and Ivory, my vintage Colts. I tuned both of them in in, upgraded some parts, and got some real good shooters. Ebony is a 1975 Series 70, Ivory is a 1978 Series 70 Nickel plated. Ivory gets carried more, mostly because that Nickel plating is a tough finish.

Here's the first Becker I ever bought. BK7 Camillus. One of three I bought that day. Never used, but it was going to be, I just never went through the others like I thought I would.

Welcome to BF and Beckerland!! Nice grab on the STI. Equally nice grab on the BK2!

Those two are just screaming for some matching leather rigs for hip carry! That would be sick!

Thanks guys for all the compliments. I'll defiantly be posting up some action pics, as I cant wait to get out and put this thing to use. The only thing I'm not crazy about is the coating on the blade. If it's like the other KA-BAR I have it started to chip off after a while. Is it wrong of me to want to strip my brand new knife and go for a nice patina. I've read up some on here and it doesn't seem to difficult. As for the 1911, shot it yesterday, and I love it as well.

good iron :)

i keep thinking that i'd like to see a modern carbine that take's 45acp in the same thought as cowboy guns of old did. one ammo, many guns :)

it's one of the reasons i admire KelTec so much. they appear to like that philosophy a lot. as well, FN with the P90/five.seven. it's just NEAT. bonus points if they have interchangeable magazines (which the FN doesn't, but KelTec manages)

I really like the HK USC carbine and the Beretta CX4 Storm doesn't look to bad either. HK is a little steep though at about 1500 simoleons.

exactly, the HK is practically definitive that way... but almost noone else is doing that... in particular, not like the KelTecs that use the same magazines. you'd think it would be a huge advantage for police, but i guess no market demand.

one thing going for the HK, is they are darn accurate. at 25 yds+ even on a shortly, i'd be carving pumpkins :> don't think i'll ever be that accurate except a .22 match pistol.

course, a few nutjob companies make "pistols" that use rifle ammo too :)

lots of toys.

just wait til the RMR-30 comes out to keep the PMR-30 company :>

There's also Mech Tech that makes an upper receiver type thing that fits onto a pistol frame (1911's and glocks). I don't know much about them but they seem pretty reasonable on price. But like you said so many different toys to choose from.

I, too, have a thing for those 1911 frames. My first, a Colt Combat Commander was stolen and I never replaced it (one of my few regrets). But, they are Classics along with a number of Beckers' that are classics (and a few that are sure to go on to become classics!).
