Fish/Crayfish Trap Tutorial

Now that I think about it, I'll just go for crabs!!! There's plenty of those things around here, I'll just camp on the beach and set a trap over night and I should have plenty to eat for the upcoming ash-Wednesday and Good Fridays to come. In fact, that sounds like a new thread starter....

If you have a camera, please photodocument it, and send them over for the wiki :)

While one might boil a mudbug, one does not boil a crab. One steams a crab to keep the flavor inside the shell as much as possible. Of course, if you're talking about Alaskan crabs, who cares? They don't taste like anything, so Zat's would do just fine! But a Blue Crab, the Majestic Scavenger of the Chesapeake? Steamed in Pabst Blue Ribbon (one can only please), water and covered with Old Bay - nothing else will do. Ha!

ETOUFFE cheap! All I have to do is make a few of these and move to Arkansas! I already make excellent shrimp Etouffe, I want to be able to make crawdad as well instead of having to wait for seasonal crawdad Etouffe at Popeye's Chicken. :D
