Heo , they are on the to do list , as a matter of fact , drew them out today on some new steel . If you would send me an e-mail to sugarland@wwest.net , I can add you to the to do list in my address book .
thanks

Jack Theflow of the blade and handle is nice, but the cord wrap should have been brought down even with the micarta, atleast in the front. It breaks up the graceful flow of the knife. I like the idea of the cord wrap for grip.

I'm not going to answer for Jack and I do agree with Stan it might "look" better; but as a user having the cord wrapped in such a way should give the handle better purchase for one with medium to large hands. It also gives the index finger an indexing and stopping point so a slippery hand will not ride up onto the blade or slide back on the handle during use. That way you can use a more relaxed grip over a longer period of time. IMHO of course.

the reason was for a fatter better grip at that point . with a 3/16 of neoprene underneath the warp , it gives the handle the ability to be squeezed . Plus with the front bolster acting also as a hilt , the hand should not slide over the blade .
It is on it's way to florida for test and evaluation from a user. We shall find out .
Thanks Buzek for your input I do appreciate it . That is what helps us all correct those small flaws .

If ya ever want to test one out let me know, I'll give it a good work out on some northeast steelhead/brown trout when they start running! Very sweet indeed, and I personally really like the handle wrap. When it's 10 deg's out and the wind is blowing and your standing in a river or creek you want all the help you can get on a gripping a cutting tool especially while in waders. Great design. keepem sharp

Longbow , I may take you up on that offer . Deep in the recesses of what is called my brain , a new Idea for a non-slip handle is coming to the surface .

I make a lot of fillet knives Jack and can appreciate the amount of work your doing to thin your blades that much. Good looking knife, like that wrap.
