Hello :)

I should wait to post these, Brian's pics are way better. But here I go.

First day: My sister and I went on a lake, my parents on another one. My parents brought these back:

That's all we got... No other fish came to bite since.

Lake in front of our cabin (wich was "powered" with solar energy, nice)

Closest neighbors, a LOT of them. Some of them left some skin.

I have to say the weather was perfect to practice firemaking. It stopped to rain a few hours before we got there, so everything was wet, but no rain on my head while I was practicing.

Firesteel with PJCB - :thumbup:
(I made charcloth out of old socks with that fire)

I found what seemed to be an old nest, perfect for tinder bundle, there was dry grass, birch bark, dried leaves. That's what I used with the carcloth. It was quite easy.

Bow and drill - :thumbdn::grumpy:

I brought M. Estela's powerpoint, I got smoke, a lot, but no coal. Only brick brown-red powder.

I obviously made something wrong, some details to fix, but I think overall I got the point.

Nice pics cybrok - I'm alwasy a sucker for fish shots.

Hey you aren't that guy who has been throwing hacked off feet into the Pacific are you (based on last phot of 2nd post) I suppose the RD-7 would be good for that work though....:)

Naaaaa

Why should I care for the Pacific when the St-Lawrence river is a few miles from here ;)

What a great looking getaway! Thanks for sharing!

I assure you they were tasty :)

I had a good cigar too, but I wasn't going to light it before I catch something. The only thing I catched was a sunburn so I still have that cigar :p
