I have always had an open invitation to makers and collectors to come down to Florida and do some offshore fishing. Well this year John Horrigan took me up on my offer. We left Blade Sunday and drove on down. Monday off to Islamorada. I arranged some free diving on Monday for John and he had his first salt water spear fishing adventure. Plenty of Hog Snapper and a nice Red Grouper, not bad for his first time on the reef. Tuesday and Wednesday offshore we went. By the time the dust settled we had put almost 20 nice blackfin tuna to 32# in the boat, along with 6 dolphin (mahi-mahi), 1 triple tail, and John also caught his first sailfish. I will let him add to this thread when he sees this. If he had half as much fun as I did then it was a home run. I had a great time with John and look forward to fishing with him again next year. That said my offer remains open to you all. If you want to do some deep sea fishing and get out on the ocean give me a call. Here are a couple of pics from our trip.
