For the life of me, I cannot figure out how to make my photos post in the large format!

Let's see if this works....IMG_1482.jpg nope.

Slipjoint folders are rarely seen being used to clean fish. Most of the mate's & fisherman I know of like Dexter Russell, carbon, and ss.
I have used a pocketknife in a pinch on the beach, for a bbq fish.

After fillet'd by a mate,I trim with any given razor sharp knife from my kitchen knife arsenal.

Soon you can get spring stripers this size(30" or so),daytime fishing, best legal size for the table

Up close & personal with a black sea bass

blacfish, aka "tautaog" , good eating but a tough skin & slimy rockfish, they are hard to die. The burlap helps keep them sliding around ,that secret & the notion that carbon is the WTG to fillet them,is trade secrets for a good mate out here

Porgy aka "scup" another good eating hard fighting fish, alot of bones require trimming after fillet'd

Blues & stripers & you can see why a slipjoint would get looks, cleaning fish

I carried a Colonial that used to be my grandfathers on this trip to Yellowstone last year.

ah. well we can fix that. upload the photos to a web hosting service, then post using IMG codes. You are uploading to your account here on BF, which is much more restrictive. I use photobucket for all of my uploading. Fast. Easy. FREE.

Last year trout fishing I actually took my folding Sheffield razor blade knife...I gutted maybe 4-5 trout and was surprised how well it worked..CD

Yes, it works with just about anything in the inventory.

Here's an odd one I have used, the Sutter Creek in 6" Sandvik 12c27 steel.
It's the Bark River version of a San Fransisco Will&Fink Bowie.
It's a simple steel but it takes and hold a fine edge for a surprisingly long time.
