Fishing!

Trout and salmon fishing on wilderness rivers in Western AK. Pike in the Yukon. Walleye in the NWT. However, my favorite "fishing" is spearfishing in the Gulf of California. Nothing like stalking and taking one close up.

i really love fly fishing, i'll pretty much fish for anything. i especially like catching mackerel on a fly rod. around my house it's mostly smallmouth and occasionally some trout

My grandfather used to love catching bonita on a fly rod. I can understand why mackerel would be a kick.

I love fishing in both fresh and salt water.

Techniques will vary depending on location, time of year and species but I regularily fish with fly, lures & bait.

Kind regards
Mick

As a youngster,Dad and I spent a lot of time fishing, streams for trout, lakes and ponds for Bass and Catfish,we only lived a few miles fro the Susquehanna,so some nights when the work was done,we'd go down to the river and fish, mostly from shore. We had 2 ponds on the farm and if we weren't fishing anyplace else we'd fish one of them.I lost interest in my teenage years, you know girls, cars, motorcycles and things but I've always wanted to try flyfishing,I've picked up a couple of usable rods and reels in the past year and I've tried casting and that didn't go to bad so hopefully, once the weather warms up some,I can try getting a few flys wet anyway.:D

I've did almost every type of freshwater fishing there is except for ice fishing. My passion is trout on a fly that I tied. I don't really care for catfishing at night but do go occasionally because I enjoy the company and cold beer. I still get to fish streams that I fished as a boy and treasure every minute I get on them. We fish the Outer Banks a few times each year with at least one week dedicated to Blues and Spanish off of the pier. People can't believe that we go on vacation and get out of bed at 4:00 every morning but they have no idea of what they are missing. My g/f loves fishing as much as I do and I plan to introduce her to native fishing very soon.

Bass. Largemouth bass. On the rare occasion I'll try for catfish, but mostly I'm a bass man. We've got some decent fishing here in NC, and I've got a pond of my own that has some pretty nice sized old boys in there (I always release, though). It's supposed to be warm as hell this weekend, if anybody is around the area and wants to wet a line with me...

Fishing in general, is one of the greatest pastimes humanity is blessed with. For me, the pursuit of smallmouth bass via wading small creeks, or yaking while using ultralight gear is the BEST action fishing. Now for ultimate kicked back, time with family, buddies, etc. type fishing, I'll take my heavy rig, some live, or cut bait, a box full of circle hooks and weights, and a river full of big 'ole whiskerheads.

I love all kinds of fishing.I use to use thread an lil hooks to catch minnows when i was a lil tyke.My favorite tho is :
OFFSHORE!!!!. I owned and Captained a Sportfishing boat out of Key West for 15 years.THOSE WERE THE BEST YEARS OF MY LIFE.

Ive caught some BIG FISH and seen incredable sights. A Dead whale being attacked by 800lb pound Tiger sharks was COOL !!!!!!

The beauty of a Marlin racing across the surface and the sound of the reel singing. The awesome raw power of a BIG Hamerhead on line. I could go on and on. But i,ll stop now.

SIGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH a disc problem in my back ended that part of my life but i,ll never forget it !

I love to fish. I mostly fly fish these days. I have bass fished for a long time and just kinda got tired of it. I tie my own flies and backpack to fish high country lakes and rivers. I've caught cut throat, brown trout, rainbows, brookies, bass, striper, perch and sturgeon.

been fishing for 60 years around the world, if thiers a body of water 'am hunting! {wallet gear:) }

I also fish for anything that swims. Dont limit myself to artificials or livebait, I try to fish for whatever is available at the moment. I particularly like to fish for blue cats and channel cats with shad . Thats some exciting fishing.

I'd love to try bow fishing for those jumping carp featured on some of the outdoor channels. That looks entertaining as hell! Anyone shot those jumpers with a bow?
