Here's photos of the set Jerry made for me just before the Blade Show. It's been one of those projects that just went exceptionally well from beginning to end. The knives, sheaths and photos all exceeded my expectations.

The true artist always knows what they want and how to obtain it, however the very best can even envision what you want and deliver it.

Coops photos speak for themselves and the word IMO is "Outstanding"

The large Bowie won Jerry his first Blade Show "Best Bowie" award in 20 years of entering, though he has won best fixed blade and best hunter multiple times.

Notice the rear pin where Jerry ground it to follow the deep curvature of the stag and engraved on the contour, yet did not distort the image. IMO, these little details that take a lot of time and effort is what really seperates the true greats from the rest.

The Paul Long sheaths really complement the knives in my opinion. Not only are they beautiful but fit the knives perfectly. It amazes me how he lines the sheaths with a layer of deer skin for protection yet is still able to maintain the sleek profile and style that in my opinion has become his trademark.

As good as it gets in a macthed set. The quality sheath work seals the deal. LOVE the damscus on this pair.

Those are as good as it gets. Congratulations to all involved and to the lucky owner.

This is headed directly into my fantasy collection! Just absurdly nice!

You boys (Jerry,Kevin, Paul & Coop) did good. Sure would like to coonfinger that set.:D  :D  :D

What a great matched set! This whole project has been fun to follow and it was icing on the cake just to get to see these at Blade. The Paul Long and Coop handy work just make things keep getting better!

As a friend of mine says, those are two of a pair. 'Outstanding' works for me!

I'm sure somewhere there is a list of "Great Knives".

These should be on it.

My hat is off to you, Kevin - "outstanding" does not begin to do these justice!

I know they're not slipjoints - ;) - but....HOLY COW! Stunning, absolutely stunning.

(If I had commissioned something of this caliber, my first choice for the sheathmaker would have been Paul Long. If Paul Long wasn't available - I'd carry them in a burlap sack 'til he was.)

And they are even better looking in person:thumbup: So Kevin.......how goes the hedge fund business or is it the cocaine importation business? I figure that is about the only way you can continue to aquire these incredible knives!!! lol. Just kidding..............just make sure you keep up the 2nd mortgage payments on your children:eek: :p

Holy Sh*t! Ughh, I mean unbelievable! Fantastic!

Jerry Fisk just raised the bar...AGAIN!
And those sheaths are not too shabby either.

GREAT work, Jerry. Outstanding sheaths, Paul.
Kevin, you lucky dawg.

Rarely have I seen great matched sets... And those two enter the realm of "magnificent"!

All the details pointed out are exceptionally done, but I have to admit that the damascus, itself, is what's really drawing my eye - the visual depth in the way it seems to be warped, yet still ya know it's flat and probably cuts like the Dickens!

Nice aquisition!

Actually Joe, the complete package including sheaths and photos cost about the same as some maker's nicer hunters alone. ;)

Thanks again for all the nice comments and thanks Jerry, Paul and Coop for going "ALL IN" on this project during one of the busier times of the year.

The big one is the best looking damascus bowie I've seen in a while. The little one isn't bad either
They look great as a set. The engraved guard fits in nicely, and this comes from a guy who doesn't like engraving.
The stag looks absolutely yummy. I love good looking amber stag. No other handle material beats this stag for these blades IMHO. Not even micarta ;)

Great job Jerry, Paul and Coop.......Kevin, you have a winner here........
