fisk Show Dreams of Grandeur Dagger

Thank you all for the warm thoughts on my work I like even more now that I see that you see just how much thought and hard work I put into this reading how much you enjoy it makes me want to go make knives thanks really.

Fantastic piece Dave.
My brain threatens to rebel when I try to imagine the workflow (and skill) required to create that guard.

Wonderful damascus. Very cleanly and precisely executed. With a clear performance. I can say the same for the handle. The guard is made with a lot of imagination and taste, but in my opinion does not make a composition with the other parts. It stands little lighter.

Dave, Though I cannot add to what others have already mentioned except Wow. Thanks for sharing this wonderful work of art.

Dave, If you have the hi-res picture files of this beautiful creation,
could you send them to me?

My email is at the end of my books (Contact info page)... If interested, Email me first and
I'll send you an uploading link to help you ship the full size files....

All the best,
David Darom (ddd)

Thanks Again folks David I will have high res images soon and I will send them to you as soon as I get it from the young man that took the photos. These are the first knife photos this young man has ever taken, he mainly takes portraits. He recently moved into the building I am in, I saw him carrying in light stands and asked him if he would like to shoot some knives. I told him he should add his name to the photos but he did not care about that and said he already had too much work but would help me out from time to time as I am so close, his name is Ian Bates, he shot 4 knives for me and the detail is crisp and not bad for a first try at photoing knives.

WOW Dave, what a beautiful piece of art. I think it not only showcases your talents but also a bit of your soul!

I agree, it will be nice to see it in person.

This is one of the most successful Art knife pieces I have ever seen. And yes, I'm very aware of Buster Warenski.
You are to be commended on achieving a level of artistry here that might just redefine expectations of what an Art knife is and can be.
This is some Picasso level shit.

Yes, compelling and masterful work, Dave. That's your standard!

As soon as I saw these good images I pulled one onto my desktop and read the hidden information to see who shot it: 'Ian Bates' Hmmmm. New to me.

He'll be a great resource for you, being this local. Work him!

(Light blue backgrounds tend to overpower and bleed their hue into the steel. Have him color correct the images with the 'white balance' eyedropper tool in Camera Raw, Levels, or Curves. He'll know what I'm talking about. I just tried it and it looks THAT much better! )

Great stuff.

Thanks Jim I will let him know I also plan to get him some of that fancy paper like you use at your shoots I think with these tips he will get my knives looking good Lorien you have a way with words thank you, I thank all of you for your thoughts on this work.

Dave,

The dagger is absolutely magnificent! Once again I am nothing but astounded by your work.

Somebody is going to have a heck of a unique piece, especially considering it is a transitional blade (JS to MS).

Even more awesome in person! I'm glad I had a chance to see it. Great work, David!
