Hey Grinder,

I put welts in some of my sheaths but not on this one. I patterned it after the design of older Wetterlings sheaths, which also don't use a welt, just heavy leather riveted together. I haven't had any problems with using these types on either my self made ones or on my Wetterlings. I might make one with a welt over the next week or two and give it a try.

Here's a sheath I made for my big Council Tool Jersey Axe that does have a welt
