I was looking for a flipper to compliment a CRK SS I recently bought. I like to flip my knives and had no desire to make my crk a full time flipper. Do I had read up on and finally bought a 450 I saw in hunting and camping store today. I really like the thin profile and the flipping action is great. For $160 retail this is a lot of knife.

I have a 450 in my pocket today:)

It makes for a great EDC since it is so light yet a good size for most any task. That said, mine is more of a dress knife to carry to social functions where a big ol' knife isn't needed or wanted or to have on my person at a nice restaurant.

I usually gravitate toward the big ol' 909 or the 630, but the 450 is such a pleasure to carry. I forget I have it in my pocket, and it FEELS smaller than it is even though it sports a blade over 3". Locks up like a bank vault and looks both stylish and dangerous doing it.

Congrats your first ZT. Mine was an 0452cf. LOVE that knife, but a bit long for most daily tasks.

For me, the 0450 was a "gateway" knife. Six months ago I remember thinking, "Who in their right mind would ever need to spend more than $65 on a knife?" Then I saw an 0450 among Benchmades, Spydercos, and other ZTs in a local shop. It only took a single flip, the blade hitting the lock bar only once, and I was completely overcome. I left the store but couldn't get that beautiful, perfect knife and the the feel of it's glorious action out of my mind. I was back with cash 90 minutes later....the genisis of a knife addiction!

I bless and curse the 0450 in the same breath! Unequivocally beautiful. The gateway to a mounting obsession :)

Congrats on a superlative choice!

To be honest I hated ZT earlier this year. I didn't like the styling and I thought they were severely overpriced. I went to a gun show a few months ago and a local knife dealer had a great selection of ZT knives. I handled the 0450 and the 0450cf and was immeadietely hooked and in love with everything about the knife. So now I own both the 450 and the 450cf and just picked up a brand new 0562cf last week. The jury is still out on the 562cf as it's just going to be too big for me I think. But I'm struggling with getting rid of it at this point. I listed it on the exchange yesterday and then pulled it an hour later because I'm just so confused about whether it will work for me or not. Chances are that the 0562cf will go back up for sale, but the 0450s are here to stay, at least for a while. They knocked my Sebenzas out of my pocket since the day they came home with me.

Been eyeing a 0450 for a while, I don't need it.... But man do I want it.

I didn't either I just couldn't resist once I actually held it. Much better in person than on line.

I'm sitting in crummy hotel far from home so I'll just post knife pics. Knives have made me more of a geek than watches ever did...
