That would be king salmon or king mackerel but I'm sure it would work on a grouper, walleye or northern Pike too. I could have made this from a steel with more chromium to protect against rust but I really like the toughness and flex I get from 52100. A person would have to treat it like they do their shotgun after a day in a damp duck blind; give it a good wipe down and use some oil.

Forged and stock removal from 52100
Slight convex grind with a matt finish
Stabilized figured ash handle
Overall length: 14 inches
Blade: 9 1/2 inches
Leather scabbard

$190 includes postage to the US or Canada. My email address and PayPal account is gldrewknives@gmail.com I will also accept USPS money orders or checks with time to clear.

I'll take it. I've had an eye out for a nice fillet knife, and I don't think it will get much nicer than that.

I am not sure If I should thank you or curse you... or just congratulate you on a great knife purchase....

This one is one I debated all day. I do not have a stand alone Filet'r and this one probably should have been the one.

Congratz.

I'm glad someone bought it. I'd already decided to get it if it was still here tonight. I don't think it will get any better either-and I love 52100 too.
