The handle of this knife smells like it's been soaked in Gasoline, why? Is it just a really strong rubber smell? I've scrubbed it with dish soap, to no avail. Is this normal? Got it New in box.

mine doesn't have that problem. try a baby wipe. those things will clean just about anything
