Fixed Blade and Folder Combo

This is a chisel edge tanto of A2 steel with a stainless guard and wrapped stingray skin beneath.
I made this many many moons ago and a short while ago it was gifted back to me by a friend that I met once upon a time in Baltimore Chefget Chefget which I was surprised and grateful for getting it back, thanks again!
It is an 11 1/2” chisel ground blade that is very sharp! Sitting beside it is a Victorinox Bantam.

The guard/tsuba was press fitted in place and the cord wrapped epoxied soaked.

My knife making career was very short lived 😇 as I haven’t made any since.

The sheath is the style that you carry between your belt and pants and the pin keeps it from sliding down

The tip of the sheath has some Labrador chew marks from RJ Martin’s large puppy when I visited him in Connecticut, we went out to tour his workshop and the sheath was near the edge of his kitchen table, luckily the knife was out. His pup Sugar, was able to get it and took it into the living room to chew on a while. RJ was very embarrassed and sorry about it, he even offered a second sheath for the knife that I was picking up from him.

The marks did not harm the sheath but it remains a great memory 😇
