Any ideas for the different uses of these two blade designs on same length blade (7in): one straight edge (clip point) and the other with deep sweep (no straight edge). Most of the fixed blades that i've seen here in this forum have the straight edge.
A straight edged clip point would be better suited for stabbing. A deep-bellied blade with a nice sweep is a better slicer. You'll find a more pronounced belly on most hunting and skinning knives.
