Fixed blade edc.

Bark River Necker II with custom scales?
Heck, get another Izula II sans scales, strip it and get custom maple burl scales for it.
You already like the knife, the length is 'just about right' and my guess is you don't find
it attractive due to the heavy black coating on it. Strip that stuff off in a single afternoon,
patina it (since you just stripped off all the coating) and order some custom elegant wood scales.
I think the blade shape and length is just great and with wood scales, I've seen em that would make
any gentleman proud to pull out at a 5 star steakhouse.

Mm good idea! I have some big leaf maple blocks sitting around as well as some jatoba. They just need stabilizing. Any idea on how to strip the duracoat off the izula?

Ah, thanks for the info. So I'd just drop it in a jar of paint stripper for a day or so and wipe it off?

I would check with some of the guys here on the forums who make knives and see if they can make you just what you are looking for.

Best of luck,
John
