Fixed blade for tactical life vest

here's a pic of my Izula 2 & ESEE4 -- handles are close to the same length. ESEE3 blade will split the difference between the 2. blade thickness on the 3 is 1/8", Izula is 4mm (roughly 5/32") and the 4 is 3/16" thick.

1066 Thanks for the picture. I am pretty much settled in on the Esee. Waiting on a response from the company about the LE and Military packages. Running it through the guys at work and may get a few. Still up in the air with the Izula II and Esee 3, but definitely going for the canvas handle.

mcsrno, the Spartan blades are wicked! I think for the price that the Esee are more bang for the buck right now. The spartan blades are set up perfect also for the Molle. If I don't get anything else from them, the spartan helmets for the 550 cord are a definite! I'm going to replace my stupid inflatable vest pull balls with them......
 
I wouldn't knock the SOG just yet. I have a Seal Pup Elite that I'm quite fond of. Handy little knife, has a nice strong point, and it's fairly light to boot. Might not have super steel, but its easy enough to sharpen when the time comes.

KaBar is also great. Zipties should work like a charm, and you have a reliable fixed blade at the ready.

If you do choose ESEE, you're in some of the best hands out there. Fantastic knives, with one of the best, if not the best, warranties in the business. Can't go wrong with anything in their lineup. An Izula, 3 or 4 would be perfect.
 
ESEE of your choice. HEST may be good, but the last of the Rowen-made HEST's are selling now.

2 great choices there...I'm loving my izula 2 now. The HEST is a cool idea too...I like both are thicker than the 3...think I like the handle on the izzie more than the 3...

LEO pricing on the 3 is pretty decent, last time I checked prices the izula 2 wasn't out yet, so I have an idea what it will be, but I don't know that they've included it in that program yet.

Tell you the truth, I'm not even that worried about the pricing. I think the prices on those are more than fair already. I am really liking the Izula 2 for the vest. I'm also looking at the Junglas for my personal bags..

Question for you, I wrote an email to the company as it said to do for the LEO program. Do they get back to you and send out the products directly from the company? Or tell you where to go for the LEO pricing? And what's the usual turn around time if you know? Thanks...
