Fixed blade hunting/camping knife

Keep in mind the 3d contoured handles will fill the hand more than the flat slab handles. Also the leather sheath may need to be upgraded to kydex. Leather can loosen up and keep moisture in.
Thanks for the all the input. I'm going to order one of the 4s. Would you recommend the 3d handle then?

I'm thinking the regular finish and sabre grind. The only other grind option is the false edge. I like their full grind, but don't think that's an option on the 4s

Gee, the Esee 3 fits nicely into that price range, $127.95 at Knifecenter today. Comfortable handles, tough 1095 steel (coated) blade, pretty hard to go wrong. I don't have the 3, but I have 3 other Esee's, and would be very happy to recommend this.

I would choose saber over false. I would get the 3d handle if im going to be using it for an extended period of time. The guardian is a good one and for that price. The esee can usually be had for that much and less on the sale forum section.

I have the esee 4 and 6 and they are great. Honestly cant go wrong either way. 1095 is carbon and needs more care.

Order placed for a 3d guardian 4 with the sabre grind, stonewash finish, and black grips. The sale timing was perfect.

The price is great for knife. Also the specs really arent that much larger. One inch larger blade. 2 inch overall larger. Great choice. Id order one right now if i didnt have an esee 4. Who am i fooling im probably going to order one on monday if they still on sale.
