CQC-8 for sure, with a blade between 4.75 and 5.5 inches. I'll buy one the second they're available!

There's plenty of hard to sharpen recurved tacticool fixed blades on the market, that I believe people buy but don't use for fear of having to sharpen it

at the moment it looks like you have to make both! :D

i voted cqc15 since it first came to mind somehow when picturing the choices...

that said i am going to buy a custom cqc8 asap - most beatiful emerson folder!

I voted for the 15, but I like Officer's Match concept of a Roadhouse.

The blade shape of the Roadhouse draws more interest than any of my other Emersons when I'm playing show-n-tell. I love the simplicity of it's profile and the utility of the sweeping belly and dual points the tanto provides. Most definitely a favorite for me.

Definately a CQC8 with the same dimensions as the folder but upgraded steel.

Make it an 8 with a 6"-8" blade. I have an 8 and the ergonomics are awesome. I want a reason to get a fixed blade and the extra blade length would make it a no brainer.

I voted for the 8 because I think a skeletonized fixed blade version of the 8 would be awesome. Not to say that a slightly bigger than normal 15 wouldn't be equally as great. I don't have much love for the mule, in my opinion its blade design has been done many times before in a fixed blade, which is why I would really like to see the winner ether be the 8 or the 15

Out of those I'd say the CQC8.

With that said, I would love to see a different hybrid considered somewhere down the line....I also asked Mr. Emerson last year at a knife show about this design to which he kinda shrugged his shoulders and said, "that's pretty interesting"....(aka - "no" LOL) Either way, the hybrid I'd love to see is a La Griffe design with Combat Karambit blade dimensions.

I realize that there isn't a significant difference in reach but I believe that the slight increase in length would add/improve the already devastating capabilities of the La Griffe. (which is already a near perfect blade and my 2nd go-to EDC for years....the Combat Karambit being my main) I truly believe that some of us have the need for a defensive weapon to be decisively offensive if/when that time comes....I would love to see this considered in the future!

I voted for an 8 but would take either 8 or 15 or both. Now that I have a mini-8 I think a super-8 would be great in a fb :)

I hope a fixed '8 wouldn't have that big flat spot on the handguard (right term?) like the folder does? That would be a deal breaker.

Now that I have handled both a Horseman and CQC15, I vote for BOTH super8 and 15 for fixed blades :)
