fixed blade purchase, long time coming! thoughts/recommendations? ESEE/RC-6??

Yea I hear ya sambo <snip> so how do you feel about the s1 since purchasing?

overall, i really like it and am very pleased with my choice. a large part of the choice for me was materials. i decided i'd like to try out what kind of steel we've come up with as a species since 1095 came out so many moons ago.

fit and finish is superb and it's one of a very few knives i didn't feel a need to sharpen straight out of the box.

one point worth mentioning about the Fallknivens: the handle is on the small side. i have very small hands (for a bloke) and even i find it on the small side. it's not uncomfortably small and the handle certainly gives plenty of control over the blade. yet, i can see myself rehandling it at some point in the next few years. i understand they were designed to be used wearing gloves, but when it's 35C outside in the middle of winter, i don't see myself needing gloves too often. mind you, i'm in Australia, not Sweden.

i havn't had huge causes to use it too much yet (can't get out bowhunting coz too busy at work...) and i'll probably write up a 6-month review when time rolls around.

don't mean to keep bumpin this baby back to the top but just wanted to say thanks to everyone who has shared their thoughts...this place freakin' rules ha. i really do appreciate it...i'll let you all know my decision when it comes, which should be soon...as a preview i think i'm still leaning toward the esee/rc-6 all things considered...with some of the other recommendations likely to come in the future :p

soooooo after a rough day at work today i decided to just go ahead and place my order for an rc-6 plain edge with green sheath, green molle back, and the deluxe dmt aligner set with 4 stones (x-fine, fine, coarse, and x-coarse...this is for general use with all my knives). finally pulled the trigger on it all...it seemed to be the right time. looking forward to the arrival of the goods and then putting them to use! thanks so much for your help!
