Fixed-blade suggestions...

Do you have a preferred style? Or perhaps a certain function in mind? Hunting, survival, military, etc?

I too love fixed blade knives to collect. Easier to see, for one thing, and more reasonably priced in general than folders. Queen Lite Hunter series, Buck phenolic handles like the 119 and 120, Bark River, ESEE, Becker, Canal Street, KaBar, pre-2004 Schrades, ROSarms (Russian)...
Any interest in Scandinavian knives? For $200 you could obtain a few knives including from Mora, Helle, Karesuando, Marttiini, Ahti, and others.

Huge Thumbs-Up for the suggestions to browse the For Sale By Maker forum section. It's amazing at what 200 dollars can buy in there.

Esee comes to mind.

Hard use knives that look amazing, have great sheaths and incredible waranty (not like you'll ever need it)

Let us know what you go with. Pics are a must. I also agree, take a really good look at the fixed blade section by a lot of talented makers. GL drew offers a lot of different styles here, just have to catch one since he does not do custom orders now. He offers a great knife and very good prices for quality he produces. For production blades, Helle is cool too.

Right now there are some cool Koyote knives up for sale in the fixed blade section, his are are hard to get right now, but worth a look.
