Fixed blade suggestions

Like I said - go custom and have 'em make what LOOKS good to you. Unless having Nike, er I mean Strider on it is more important. If that's the case then I guess I'll rest my case. Good luck with your search. Please update us with the performance of whatever you get. In the mean time, pick up a CS G.I. Tanto and see if it fits your bill. They're so cheap you can use it while you make up your mind on your big purchace. I believe the handles used to be wrapped. Either way, get a screwdriver and take off the slabs and wrap it yourself. http://www.coldsteel.com/gitanto.html

ps - I know the blade is longer but it'll give you somewhat of an idea in the "woods".

The suggestion about looking at Dozier knives is a good one. Many models of them can be seen on the AG Russell website.

well......if you have the "dough" and want to go "downtown", it would be hard to beat a Dozier fixed blade for personal carry. There are a lot of good knives available...but not many better.

Get one, especially the cheaper one it's a really excellent smaller knife that does its work very well indeed, you even get pride of ownership from it! A hugely like-able knife which is understated and unobtrusive:thumbup:

I may have to add it to my list - once I get everything in front of it in line:p

I have heard positive things from several sources though.
