Does Spyderco have any plans for an upcoming fixed blade knife? Heard the rumor! Is the Moran discontinued? Was that the only fixed blade you ever made, beside kitchen stuff?
So many questions so little time!
Thanx BART
Bartman - Ye the Moran was the only FB that Spyderco has produced to date. We're still making the Moran at this time. The next run will be flat ground with satin finish. Some type of Kydex sheath. Then we may resort to batches.
Spyderco plans to reduce SKU's for 2000. Many models will be set up on a batch schedule motivated by demand.
We have other fixed blade designs and will make "concept models" to develop, but at this time there are none scheduled for production.

Oh please, oh please...don't discontinue the Moran... I need one, but can't afford yet another knife NOW
.

Developing a serious habit here. Is this what addiction feels like
?
...quite a bit later...
You know, sometimes I feel like a real idiot
. I just re-read Sal's post, after reading Bartman's, and realize that Spyderco IS producing more Moran's, just no necessarily more fixed blades. Oh. DUH!
