I havent made a final decision but I am leaning towards the RAT3. My e-mal is zack_wylde9@hotmail.com. Ive had it since i was little and never bothered to change it.haha. Do you have some info about some training or mainly on fixed blades?

Google, "edged weapon classes".

Also, chack with rifle and pistol ranges in your area. The folks there may well know about edged weapon classes you can take.

The BM fixed blade griptilian may be a better small SD knife than a general purpose knife. The lower part of the guard stick down quite a bit for a general use knife.

I bought one to be a general purpose camp type knife. After handling it I think it might have been designed more with SD in mind.

The Benchmade 140 Nimravus is a really nice 4.5" bladed knife. The handle and guard makes your hand feel really locked in. You can get it with different sheaths.
The one below came with a Nylon sheath. The BM 140 is strong but light weight.
