This knife was listed on eBay with active bids (by me). Then get a notification that my bid was cancelled and it is now sold here. I had been watching the auction for several days and missed out on another knife I would have purchased had I known I was going to be screwed over.

Kind of a BS move if you ask me.

Surely the seller didn't do that just to screw you over. Maybe he needed the funds sooner or didn't want to pay the ebay fees🤷🏻‍♂️
I understand why your upset but he reserves the right to pull his listing if it hasn't sold. Now, if you'd have won the bidding and it closed, then he refunded you and pulled the listing it would be a bs move. Next time just use the buy it now option or message the seller if that isn't an option 🤷🏻‍♂️

There was no “buy it now” option and the auction was scheduled to end in less than 2 days, I had been watching and bidding for 4 days.

And the listing had bids on it with “no reserve”, so the knife for all practical intents and purposes, was sold when he decided to cancel it. The only question was what the final sale price would be. For the record, I was prepared to go to $325, so he lost out.

I will regularly list knives on eBay (with no reserve) and also on forums simultaneously, but as soon as I get any bids on ebay, I pull them from the forums for this very reason - they are sold! He didn’t even have it listed here at the same time. Instead, he canceled an auction with winning bids and then related here.

So I got screwed on this knife and also the other one that I missed out on.

Again, BS move.

I’ve been selling on eBay for over 20 years with well over a thousand positive feedbacks and ZERO negatives. I would never do something like this. I’m not going to beat a dead horse here, just want the community to know what kind of seller they are dealing with.

I am the guilty party Swadehead, and that knife was actually listed on this forum long before I posted it on ebay, but it didnt sell until I relisted it a time or two. I much prefer to sell my knives here as opposed to ebay as it saves me, and the buyer money instead of being gouged by ebay. I understand your frustration, but it appears you also frequent the forums, so you had the same opportunity as everyone else to buy it here. I dont like doing that, as it does dissapoint the prospective buyer, but I needed the money now not a week from now.
