From what I understand of our great Michigan knife laws

rolleyes

is this: You can only carry a fixed blade knife during hunting season, and it has to be "adapted and carried as such" whatever the hell that means. I'm certainly no lawyer but the one part of this law I can read and understand clear as day is this - (3) A person who violates this section is guilty of a felony. Felony = NO GOOD so I would advise you call your local authority (County Sheriff, Town Hall, etc.) and ask them but as far as I know a fixed blade EDC in MI is a no go.
- 750.227. (1) A person shall not carry a dagger, dirk,
stiletto, a double-edged nonfolding stabbing instrument of
any length, or any dangerous weapon, except a hunting
knife adapted and carried as such, concealed on or about
his or her person, or whether concealed or otherwise in
any vehicle... except in his or her dwelling house [or]
place of business... (3) A person who violates this
section is guilty of a felony...
