Fixed blades in S30V

Pardon if this has already been answered, couldn't find it.

Is Strider Knives going to switch the blade steel to S30V for their fixed blades?
 
When it applies, yes.

We are currently running all of our blades through a run of S30 V to see if they are enhanced by the steel. Some will, some won’t. Those that will not will be made out of whatever works best.

We just did a run of S30V MTL’s. Some are on the way to TAD right now.

COOL! But what about the hardness? RC59.5-60 or RC 60-61

I remember reading a post somewhere from Paul Bos who said his S30V was testing right at RC 59.5.
I'm not totally sure this applies to Strider blades or not. In any case, I think the added toughness at 59.5 as opposed to 61 is a good thing.
