I too have eye balled ryans line of knives for a long time. Is it 80crv2? If I had an opportunity id have jumped on one. Nice score! Oh, that giant choil needs a choil.Really put this thing through some paces today. Love how it cuts and it carries like it’s not even there.
One of my favorite features is the gigantic finger choil… which they intentionally left the f@ck out of the design.

My meager attempt at what it would look like if a certain other company or two made it![]()

Doesn't Spyderco make something like that?My meager attempt at what it would look like if a certain other company or two made it
Thanks bro! This one’s Nitro-V. First knife I’ve had with it. It has no problems staying sharp from what I’ve seen so far. I’m gonna beat it up and see how far she goes til she needs a stone.I too have eye balled ryans line of knives for a long time. Is it 80crv2? If I had an opportunity id have jumped on one. It's very you, I know your style, we have very similar taste in knives. I like what they did on this knife. Thehuntsmanco i think his forum name was did a long machete type knife some years back maybe 5 or 7 years? Anyway he did it in nitro v and I kick myself in the arse for not buying one because I really wanted one. Let me know how it compares to our usual steels in shaprening, edge retention, etc. Thanks bro! This one’s Nitro-V. First knife I’ve had with it. The handle color is sweet. It’s called “black cherry” and the colors pop in person especially the way it’s machined.
Every giant choil needs a choil, so they can choil as they choil while they choil.

I would like a 4 finger choil so I could eliminate the handle. Way shorter knife. How has no one thought of this? Thanks bro! This one’s Nitro-V. First knife I’ve had with it.
