Fixed blades

The knife was made by Nikolai Shlepov, a knifemaker from Moscow. In mass production, the knife looked like this:

Nikolai made it according to the drawings. On them the guard was a separate part made of brass. And the master replaced the plastic with stained wood.
Maxjeg, Thanks. Any chance of getting this photo back a little bit to show both of the sheaths? John

This is not the original sheath. The original ones looked like this:

Photos from Russian chats and flea markets.
Maxjeg. I was wondering about the RPK Tunturipuukko Sheath on the right of the phot. From what I can see looks like an image of Lauri Torni, the famous Finnish and later US Soldier. Do you have a full photo of that sheath? John

Another post of this knife asked if anyone recognized the makers mark, and that it looked like maybe it was Norwegian. I emailed Pekka Tuominen, Master Knife maker in Finland, and he did not recognize the makers mark, and he also thought it looked like either a Swedish or Norwegian knife. John
Yes, thanks, thats fits as the knife came to me from Sweden.
It seems that knife making is a popular hobby in Norway, and many knives are made using commercial blade blanks, not unlike puukko makers using Lauri blades. I'm thinking this might be a knife from a small maker using a blade from Brusletto or Helle maybe.
