This was sent in for some new pants.

Tooled (Carlos border stamp) russet Wicket and Craig saddle skirting with the shields and bowtie from water buffalo. The bowtie is for looks its not needed for retention.

A Beaver! That's a freakin classic! Don't see them very often.
I carried one as my hunting knife for years til I retired it. There's a couple of em around here somewhere

Two of what I thought were My personal knives left me this week....an older HSS slasher that I considered my "fondling knife" and also my current EDC, which looked like a pairing knife.
A guy at work needed a X-Mas present for his wife, and she already Loves the chef's knife I made last year.....I was just getting to start to bond with that knife, and then he asked me for it. I think I need something Special for myself.

Yes, this blank is "just" 8670, but it's very Hard.
And I think this fairly black ebony that I've been hanging onto for a few years might increase it's desirability?
*Just starting this project.

finished this one up, making a sheath and sending off to my Uncle as a late Christmas gift. 8 inch blade, forged to shape from a 1950s Chevy leaf spring. full hidden tang.

I softened the primary edge, giving it a nice soft convex flow.
black ebony, white vulcanized liners with Westinghouse will look pretty Sharp, I think...
This is going to be a nice cutter for fondling with cigars and a stiff drink.

Did you manage to snag one of the 2 that remained ? Excellent knife. I was going to sell it until I started using it - it’s a keeper. 5/32 stock and great edge geometry.. it’s a great slicer. You’ll like it.
