Beautiful knife. How do you like it so far ? I’ve got one I’m debating on selling - I love the profile of the blade though, hefty but it still cuts like a knife should. What’s your thought on k490 so far ?

Thank you ! That is a beautiful knife![]()
Took it out for the first time today.
Great first impressions
Handles great imho. Not a super chopper but can't expect that from this size. It did great in carving, making curls and batonning.
Love its's looks and finishes. I can see myself convexing the edge in the future for more smoother experience in making curls.
The micarta is shapped a little less refined than some other lionsteels, no fancy milling patterns or ridges arounf the screws. But maybe that's better for a hard use knife, less chance for hotspots.
Got more thoughts and pics here if you like.
Dayummm!!
Wow! I follow this maker on instagram and never made the connection. Great looking knife!
Makes a great blade!!! Miss him around here.....
Very cool. I love me some Dalibor knives. I'm guessing it's 52100.
It'd be cool if you could share some dimensions when you get a moment. Blade length, spine thickness, etc.
Sorry for lack of specifications!
Full Length: 10"
Blade length: 5"
50crv4/6150 steel diferentially hardened
3/8" thick at the ricasso, with very light tappers to the front and the back.
2" wide Blade.
One of the nicest that I've seen. Who is the maker, please?
