Thanks for the piece of history!There's too many cons associated with folding knives that fixed blades never share so for that reason I've always gravitated towards fixed blades for their strength and durability
Interesting to note, the first earliest recorded folding knives were used by the Hashashiin during the holy crusades
They wanted something they could conceal completely
The Hashashin were from the Holy Crusade era, about 1095AD and later. The earliest folding knife dates from about 500BC in what is now Austria.
