Fixed blades

Interesting knife you have there. I like it. Is that an old discontinued model or is that a customized Saddle Mountain Skinner?

ETA: It kinda looks like a Griptilian fixed blade with wood scales, but the primary bevel looks a too high.
This is an old Benchmade 180 Outbounder. It's a nice little knife. The blade is 10mm shorter than the Griptilian 151.

Glad you posted these, the pics from the customer were not doing it justice. No offense meant to bob at all, I am not a photographer either.

I'm just glad to see my work out there.....it means the world to me.... All pictures are much appreciated, and Beautiful
:D

Looks great Crag!

Thanks!!!
I normally like a little belly on my edge, but I was requested to make a straight one. Not the knife I'm working on Now, or the next one....but the one after that.... Will be another "Sideshow" but with the original, slightly swooped belly. Should, still be an excellent slicer. I hope.

This Esee 4 was a definite user when I received it a few weeks ago. I stripped it of its thick coating, ran a Trizac belt over it to smooth it up and remove any machining marks, then painted it a nice durable brown to go along with the black scales and green liners. Hit the high spots like the spine with 600 grit so that if need be, I can use it to strike a fire. Lastly, I sharpened it to a razors edge and polished. Now I can say that I like it.

Glad it arrived safely.....
I wasn't sure how to pocket carry for you so I did 2 sheaths. One was a simple slip that I made a pull tab made out of a high performance material I think it's spelled Armour X? It's abrasion resistant, and impact resistant. Instead of a conventional bead, I don't think this will scratch cars or furniture as easily, idk?

It's pretty simple.
Pull tab.
Lifts knife out of pocket.
Grab knife. Use it.

Feels good to be back in the shop after being sick off and on since the week before Easter! Smaller one was sanded to 2000 grit and lightly buffed, purple/pink camo is sanded to 1000 grit, but no oil finish on it yet.

New set of Lucas Carroll scales for an old BK5.

Love That!!!! Nice look
The BK 5 was maybe my favorite Becker.....
I gave mine away last year here. I probably should have kept it, they don't even post pictures of it.... :/

I've made a couple inspired versions, and funny an upcoming knife (for Me) isn't too far off, theme-wise.
I need to start making myself more knives....Ha.

Yes, I'm surprised there hasn't been a production knife to fill the gap the BK5 left. The WT Atayal XL looks fun perhaps not as slicey. A trailing point Junglas would be the bee's knees 😎
