Fixed blades

Craig that might be the most comfortable looking handle I've seen from you yet.

What's Really funny is this is the same knife from when you were teasing me about not showing off the Westinghouse liners.......This is an older knife of mine sitting around.
Over the weekend, I filed and sanded more of a sculpted look, less blocky. I've been doing that with my handles more Now, lately..... Thank You for noticing/saying.

And Still....... I forgot to show off the liners. 😂😂😳😳😝😝

They are both excellent. But the larger of them is fire!!!!

Thank You...
That's actually my Med./Heavy Chopper. I call that general design my "No Sizzle" Chopper.
I make smaller, and Bigger two hand versions...
But this size is pretty Sweet.

I was part of the movement wanting harder steels.....I won't use AEB-L type steels less than 62HRC..... I like all my knives Hard, generally.....

I decided to put my money where my mouth was .....and I had this treated to 62 as well..... That's maybe a little too hard for big choppers, but that's what I have been doing.

I beat the snot out of this. Last year I was chopping and limbing all Summer/Fall. Chopping into dirt. Lots of work.
I'll be honest it's not as sharp as I keep my knives....but I think it will still roughly slice paper.
It just works.....and I haven't broke it yet.
I've seen other makers increasing their hardness levels too.....62 is perfect for an AEB-L woods knife. And seems to be holding up fine with This one.... Haha

Thanks

I got back from work early today. My daughter asked me to make okroshka (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Okroshka) for lunch. :)

I've got a sort of theme going.. also my taste has moved to more manageable sizes. I still have many large blades and make them. I'm leaning more to 4-6" blades personally though. That being said, large is relative.. these are probably very large knives for many, particularly with the rising popularity of EDC fixed blades.
