Sadly many bladeforum members would frown down upon me as to my love of fixed blade knives over pocket knives. For what I have had to live my life, having a Husband that was an elite military, that life depended upon attacking an enemy with the silent force of a good solid fixed blade knife, helped him being able to have the better chance of coming home to me.

Now i've been revolving around purchasing knives as I have done along the course of life, but he is no longer holding my hand and sharing the beauty and pleasant moments, I have a few knives that I will never sell, a history attached to them. Knives have been a connection of my soul, to his, This is almost a kind addiction that I have, the knives and combat rifles that I make and then sell. At times there are people that come to me wanting a rifle built up, or a weapon that needs to be tweaked for accuracy and dependability, a faster shooter with a smoother action and a lighter weight profile.

It has been a learning experience which has aided me financially at times. My car needed a transmission and my income level was far from the Mercedes dealership was quoting me, so I sold knives, a customized rifle and was thankful for things to work out. Now I am once againg attempting to raise money to be able to pay for windows and doors on my home, and dental needs.

As to pocket knives, they might protect you maybe, just too many "if's or buts" when you can use a real knife that will be far better when you need to use one. A fixed blade answers the call to survive that a toothpick in the pocket does nothing but puts window dressing in your hand, when you needed a beast. I'm also inclined to carry two handguns and fixed blades on my person, while out and about and even while in my home. My deepest hope is that what I have to keep myself or others safe, will not have to present itself beyond what sad events have already taken place.

The bladeforums has been a wonderful place to be, great people here, and a kindred of souls to share thoughts with with a warm smile.

Cindy.

You just HAD TO POST that coyote J-P M07, didn't you? Why do you enjoy making me spend more money? 😒

*Sam is SO handsome! 🥰
The coyote gen 2’s are awesome. I’ve had the original models and the second generation. Edge geometry, heat treatment, fit and finish, weight and price point are all excellent. The only thing the Peltonen knives don’t do well is heavy chopping.. they de limb well enough though.

I recently went on a caffeinated rant on BCUSA. The rant was about butter knives being handle heavy and falling off the plate when set down.. it really pisses me off.

Reiff F6 is a far better option.. perfectly balanced.

No more coffee today.
Guess I will head over BCUSA and check out the rant.
