I've always wondered, but have not picked up an MMHW. They have always looked like to me that the blades are capable of a good knock around, or knock about, and then keep on ticking. An indestructible set up from Mineral Mountain Hatchet Works.

Yea, the scales on that Splitter could use a little thinning.
Lol, maybe a lot.Sarcasm, much?
That’s pretty much exactly what they’re built for. Thanks!I've always wondered, but have not picked up an MMHW. They have always looked like to me that the blades are capable of a good knock around, or knock about, and then keep on ticking.

* I even wrote to them, suggesting that there handles weren't comfortable.
They assured me that they Are.
That smaller one with the antler handle - you've shown it before. Who is the maker? It's stunning.Best ever , Nick Wheeler

Have an SD1 and BRH both in Sculpted Maple thought about a Belt Knife in Sculpted Maple to match but want todo something different this time with the handle and blade shape. Gonna live a littleI don't think you'll have any regrets. Based on the specs, I thought it would feel like a much bigger, thicker knife but in the hand it feels very nimble and slicier than I expected. It's quickly become one of my favorite Winkler models.
