Recommendation? Fixed EDC, good slicer, rust proof

Hallo everybody, after many pages read, I decided I need a help with my new knife choice.
I've got a headache from searching the net but no luck with my final decision so far.

So, I'm in a search of a nice fixed blade EDC, with a relatively thin blade for slicing (food, etc), good corrosion resistance (I live near the sea, don't tend to use it for fishing but will carry it on a boat).
It would be nice it's easy to sharpen. I have both stones and diamond sharpeners but don't like to spend much time on sharpening.
I like simple and functional knives easy for maintaining, but am opened to your suggestions.

Closest so far to what I want is a Bark River Fox River in elmax, but that one is too expensive (200+ euro in EU) and too big. Perfect lenght would probably be a Bradford Guardian 3. A also do like Spiderco blade shapes.

My budget is arround $120, but that depends if the knife is USA or EU made. for EU knives it can go to up to $200.

Thanks in advance

How about an Enzo knife by Brisa, necker, bobtail, elver or Trapper 95. I have a 115 Trapper, ffg in 12c27 and I couldn't be happier.

It sounds like you're looking for something in the Spyderco Salt series. The H1 they use isn't the best edge retaining steel but it is completely rust proof. You might want to look into the Mule Team 25 in LC200N as well. Better steel and about as rust proof as H1.

Try contacting @Kosa_PL.

He is in Poland, and uses a few great stainless steels including Elmax.

His work is phenomenal and I’d bet he can work with your budget.

Wow, never heard of Brisa knives, nice selection and reasonable prices. I might pickup something. I use Moraknives in 12c27 for fishing, great value steel/knives overall.

How is it for a food slicing? might be wanting something even thinner than 3,2mm for slicing. I have a Lionsteel TRE @3,5mm and not happy with slicing performance.

Thanks. I'm not looking into a full rust resistance for an EDC, (I have diving and fishing knives allready).
I like Spiderco, but H1 is too soft for me. I use fallkniven F2 in VG10 as my main fishing knife, with little care it's perfect even in saltwater sorrounding. Will take a look on Mule team 25, thanks

Look up Adam Vigil. His sneaks are ground thin and his aebl is great around water.

Just ordered Enzo necker full flat from Lamnia, it looks like a nice utility knife so couldn't resist:D

But I'm still looking for somewhat fancier knife, will have a search of Mule, seems to be hard to find in Europe

Then I don't know what to say. Spyderco makes many blade shapes. If you like the guardian 3, get one in m390?

Expensive, $300 w/shipping from a German dealer.

That mule in lc200n has been a good slicer, I use mine all the time and have not seen any corrosion. It also is very easy to sharpen and so far seems to roll the edge vs chipping at all.

They show up on the exchange here under $200 all the time ;) I picked up a 4v Guardian 3 a few months back for $165 new in box:)

I have been wanting a Tops bird & trout come in stainless and has great ergonomics.

Honestly, man. You've been given some good suggestions. You do whatever you think is right. You're just as capable of using a search engine as the rest of us. Half of the fun of this hobby is doing the legwork to find what works for us, the other half is testing it. You seem to be wanting us to do half of the fun for you.

Sure, I've decided to buy a knife from one of the suggestion (Enzo necker). I've been here for 6 years and read hundreds of threads, bought a dozen of knives and this was my first post, so I think I'm not that lazy, I just have some specific wishes.:D
Anyways, apparently fixed blade EDCs are not that popular yet, so the selection is not that big as with folding knives. I will buy one more knife (probably from this thread suggestions), don't know which one yet. Bradford G3 in M390 is a beauty, but just can't spend that much at this time. Custom order is not my thing.

Unfortunately shipping + import customs add about 40% to the price.

LC200N is the steel you want. Also called Zfinit. Tough. Easy to sharpen holds a good edge and gets very sharp! And it's a nitrogen stainless so its basically rust proof.

Stretching budget a bit but my vote goes to the Benchmade Altitude. I voted with my wallet.
