Fixed EDC suggestions

Hey guys. Been a while since I posted here. I bought a Pacific Salt SE last year, still EDCing it. Great knife, I love it; my only gripe is I wish I'd gotten the PE. No fault of Spyderco's, I just found out that PE would have been more suited to my use.

Which brings me to my question.. I've been looking for a decent fixed blade. Not too big, something I can also EDC that won't scare too many sheeple. Looked at the Benchmade Griptilian and 210TK Activator, and the Spyderco Moran FB02.

Could the FB02 be used as a utility EDC? Most of the posts I found on here reference it as being used for hunting/camping. It also seems to be out of stock everywhere, while the FB01 is in stock. I found the 02 @ Knifeworks for a price comparable to NG. How are they compared to NG?

Also noticed the Swick on NG; alas, out of stock, too.

Any other suggestions welcome. Thanks!

P.S. -- Any fixed H1s yet? Love H1!

The Moran can be used for EDC, it probably can be used for everything.
I think there is a H1 fixed blade on the way, but I forgot the name. Ed Schemp may be designing it. Maybe.
I think the 82nd Knife is going to be H1. I think. :)

What about this?

Not sure about the size of it. Any EDC-sized kukris? I love the kukri blade shape.

The street beat is such an awesome piece. I own one myself and the knife is definately custom quality. It is a little bigger than the delica with a whole lot more blade. The handle's ergos are amazing.

It is very nice, I've looked at it. Bit out of my price range though.

What about Ka-Bar TDIs, both regular and large versions? They seem like they'd be decent for EDC tasks at work; opening boxes, etc. The handle looks better on the original size TDI.

I like the Swick. Too bad it's discontinued.

The least scary would probably be a Spot, espacially the Spot Micarta is nicely in hand. If you like it a bit bigger and more robust, my suggestions are Swick and Street Beat. Among the Spots I recommend the one with the knob, second from the right.

The "Moran" was designed by Bill Moran to be his personal EDC. He said it was the most used model he'd ever created. He refined the design over a 50 year period, little by little.

It really is a great knife. It just doesn't look "flashy". It is very well made; VG-10, flat ground, Kraton where you need it in a FRN frame. Large enough for most tasks, yet small enough to put in your pocket. And it doesn 't look "tactital".

We still send his royalties to the Bill Moran Museum.

Spyderco fred perrin (new smaller model), is great choice or the Moran. VG10 flat ground, light, tough, extreamly sharp. You can'y go wrong!

One more for the Street Beat. I just love the Ergos AND the Look.

If I did not already have several Ronins, I would have been standing in line for a Street Beat. I still want to get a Street Beat eventually. Whether the term EDC applies to my Ronins is a matter of opinion, as I do not aften cut things with the Ronins, usually using an older Rescue, Mili, or Goddard for daily chores, but I do carry a Ronin almost every day.
