Maybe I'm getting anal about this, but I don't think I like how uneven this grind is, just noticed it recently, guess I was too busy hacking down things out behind the house. WITHOUT using a belt sander, what would the next most efficient way to fix this...anything wrong with using bastard file? Maybe some coarse sandpaper...80ish to start?? I could probably leave this be, but what do you guys think? It looks like if I take down what appears to be a high spot in front of the ricasso, it might correct most of the problem, not totally sure though.

i would use a piece of glass and some sandpaper to rework the edge to make it straight. if the edge is pretty beat up then 80 grit would be good to start with. i would not go over 400 grit if you use it for chopping

So I would just work the bevel back (20deg) and forth both sides till I'm down to where I want to be? That high spot is at least 1/32.
