I'm about to pull the trigger on a Ti Widgy Bar from Countycomm and I think it would be really cool to flame-color it. Is it as simple as holding over the burner on a stove for a few seconds? Is there anything I should be careful to avoid doing?

Thanks!

I'm sure someone with specific experience will chime in shortly, but from what I have read here, yes it is that simple. You can't use the burner on your stove though, not hot enough. If I remember correctly, the MAPP gas available at most do-it-yourself stores (read Home Depot or Lowes) is much hotter, and will do the job. I also understand that it takes a little practice, so you might consider purchasing a couple. Hope this helps, and you should be able to search for the procedure on these forums for more definitive answers.

I have the ti widgy bar, and I used a map gas torch. keep moving it around and if you splash some wd-40 on it first you can get cool patterns.
