Flame Maple Aikuchi - COOP photos added!

Truly beautiful and something anyone would be more than proud to own.....including me!!!!!!!!! ;) :)

It's attractive Matt. One of the nicer types I have seen in this style.

Interested to see how you are going to approach the scabbard/sheath.

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

Thanks, everyone!!! This was a lot of fun to make, and I hope to expand on the concept a bit as time progresses.

I like how you secured the wrap, it reminds me of a bow tie

The other side has a similar finish, as well. Thanks, Steve!

What kind of sheath are you putting it into?

The customer has requested a lined aluminum 'Hartsfield' style sheath that I'll cover in sharkskin.

Thanks again, everyone.:)

That is absolutely beautiful. I am in awe! I'd love to have something like that in my collection!

Thanks guys!

Crummy phone photo of the knife with it's completed 'Hartsfield' ultrasuede-lined, sharkskin-covered aluminum sheath:

This is a tough one for me to let go of, for a variety of reasons, but I hope the new owner loves it as much as I do. Thanks for looking, gang.

So many fine features! Basic profile, fuller, beveled spine, beautiful hamon and wonderful wrapped wood. Love it!

Was this all inspiration or did the client request some details? In any event - whether inspired or by design - this is a lovely piece of craftsmanship and styling.
Very nicely done

RayseM, the customer requested this style of sheath, and I suggested shark skin. The knife was entirely my idea, and evolved with a number of changes and additions as I was making it. I don't take custom orders, however if I have something in process and someone suggests something I like, I will certainly consider incorporating it. :)

Thanks again, guys. I was very happy with how this one turned out.
