This is some redwood burl that is way harder than normal redwood, probably harder than maple or oak. Really good wood. Most of these blocks were cut to show off a flamed type figuring.
These photos show both sides of the blocks wiped with a light surface coat of Minwax "Wipe on Poly" to give a better idea how they will look finished without adding moisture to the wood. Sorry about the bad photos. The blocks are a bit darker in real life. The photos only give you a hint of the 3 dimensional figure in these blocks.
This wood has been stored outdoors under cover so you should give them a few weeks indoors to acclimate before using these blocks.
When you see blocks you want, just post "I'll take #s ...." and I will mark them sold for you. US shipping is $2.50 each or $10 for as many will fit in a flat rate box.
