Flared grinding cup wheels

I've just been getting whatever is least expensive, but there are probably certain brands, sizes and specs for flared grinding cup wheels that work better for taking down a Damascus billet than others.
My grinder is a 4hp Bosch 9". I've been using 5" wheels and am wondering whether I should move up to 6"?
What type of wheels are working best for you?
BTW, I am working, slowly, on a swing attachment for the grinder and will post it when it's done.

I use the Norton Snagging wheels from MSC.
