Flash II Reassembly

Well, I made a boo-boo. I disassembled my Flash II without researching posts about it BEFORE I started. Can anyone give explicit instruction on reassembly? Tips on how to get the spring back in place? Thanks for helping a dummy out!

You need to put the end of the spring in the blade and then stick a pick in the channel and sort of wind the spring up and put the other end of the spring in the channel in the handle. Once the main spring is wound up keep the blade out and put the handles back together. You set the tension by the torque on the pivot screw.

One thing to keep track of is the extremely small ball bearing that allows the safety to click. Without that the safety will just float on and off.

Thanks a ton. I'll try it. Does the bearing just operate the safety or do I need it for the knife to function properly? I think I lost it.
