Flash II spring

Hey guys,

Ive just picked up a Flash II and I was wondering if any of you guys store it with the blade out to take the tension off the spring while not in use?
Does SOG recommend to do this?

I have always stored mine with the blade closed. And since I EDC my Flash II I would tend to think that it is unnecessary for me to store it open. In fact, it would probably cause more wear on the knife to open it every night than it would to leave it closed since I'm just going to have to close it again in the morning.

We have samples of all the Twitch series for Q.C. purposes. They are stored in the closed position. They have not lost any of their strength since day one. DITTO that.

The spring in my twitch (I'm sure it's differen't than the Flash) broke with about 3 months of EDC. I think it just died from use, not from staying folded though.
